Learning WonderLand Academy is a year-round home-based daycare in Annandale, VA. Our family child care program is run by Maria Lopez Lira who has 3 years of child care experience and has a Bachelor's degree. We are open from 7:00am until 6:30pm and care for children as young as 1 month through 12 years old, including children with special needs. We offer full time care, before and after school care for children up to 12 years old. We provide meals and offer a peanut free environment. I feel so grateful to have found this facility. We took our daughter out of a larger daycare when the pandemic hit but when I had to go back to work in person full time we wanted to find something smaller. I love that they get outdoors often. I love having the app to be able to check in and to get to see pictures. I think my daughter’s language has really progressed getting to be around other kids. and she shocks us when she started counting to ten at 22 months. She sings full songs, including the ABC’s and knows some Spanish now. We have been so happy to find a place that she is comfortable and enjoys and that has felt safe during a pandemic.

This provider has been taking care of our 3-year-old son for nearly a year now, and he absolutely loves going to see her each morning. She is incredibly dedicated and caring, and she is very knowledgeable about early childhood development. This provider always responds to our questions and concerns thoroughly and in a timely manner. She loves the kids in her care like her own. We are so lucky to have found her!

Due to the pandemic we decided to switch from a large daycare center to a smaller home daycare facility. We were lucky enough to find this facility! COVID-19 precautions are a priority for us, so it’s such a relief to find a place where the staff takes mask wearing and vaccinations seriously. The provider is a great communicator and very accommodating (we use cloth diapers, our younger child is transitioning from breast milk to solids, and our older child is potty training). We can’t recommend her enough!

Our girls have loved their time with this provider, from ages 3 to 5. The facility is comfortable and welcoming, they have their favorite spots and activities, and they're (cheerful and happy when they get picked up. I highly recommend.
