Birmingham Terrace Playhouse is a bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool in Beltsville, MD. Our home-based child care facility is nestled in the Birmingham Terrace neighborhood, near Little Paint Branch Park. We're right off Montgomery Rd and have easy access to all major roads: Power Mill Rd / Ammendale Rd (route 212), Baltimore Ave (US-1), and the I-95. Perfect location for your commute to work!

I'm the owner and main caregiver of this intimate home daycare, and I'm a mom of 2. That said, I have first-hand child care experience with my own kids. I can also relate to your challenges when it comes to finding a suitable child care program for your little one. We run a family child care program and we provide nurturing, quality care, and treat each child as if they were our own. My staff and I are CPR & First-aid certified, so you can be sure that your child is safe with us.

We value and cultivate a commitment to learning. Our daycare offers a learning space with organized stations for toys and supplies. We follow the Play-based learning approach with elements of the Montessori teaching philosophy. We offer lots of fun, engaging activities such as yoga, singing, dancing, and much more! My curriculum also includes circle time, where children learn about the days of the week, months, and the year. They explore the changing seasons, learn to count, and observe the weather outside. We also take them on exciting journeys to discover planets and teach them about parts of the human body. Birmingham Terrace Playhouse is a bilingual Spanish child care program. In addition to English, we teach our kids the Spanish language. We can't help but smile when we see our little students grooving to happy Spanish music :) We put considerable effort into creating an inviting and enriching environment. Our daycare space has a preschool-style layout, that is well furnished and decorated. The walls are decorated with educational posters, complemented by vibrant carpets that add a cheerful touch. To keep things tidy and accessible, we organized small toys in bins and lined the walls with larger playsets.

We're open all year-round from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Our daycare offers full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 3 weeks and 5 years old. We can also accommodate children with special needs. To avoid any possible allergies, we run a peanut and tree-nut free environment. Our COVID procedures include sanitizing every two hours, washing our hands after every activity, and taking the temperatures of children and staff every morning.
