Our mission at Sonrise Christian School is “to create an environment in which children can experience the love of Jesus as they grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and people.” So, what does is mean to “Grow in the Son”? It means that Sonrise Christian School feels like home: a safe place where students are dearly loved and growing both spiritually and academically. It means that Sonrise teachers and staff are a close community, wholly invested in the growth, character and wellbeing of all students. It means that Sonrise students are equipped for success with Christ-centered curriculum, cutting-edge technology, and enrichment opportunities. Our mission at Sonrise means that students have every opportunity to grow to their fullest potential, excelling in school and in life. Our staff of caring teachers encourage children to reach their fullest potential: physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually through an appropriate truth-centered curriculum. Ultimately, we strive to teach our children to live in the light of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and we strive to foster an environment where our children learn to love, share and accept one another. Our Covina Campus serves students ages 3-5 years old, and our San Dimas Campus serves students ages 2-5 years old. Both campuses regularly review curriculum to maintain the best possible standard of excellence. The current curriculum includes “High Hat” Learning, “Bob Jones (BJU)” and the Bible Curriculum “Bright Beginnings.”
