Dear Aubrey, I'm sorry our program wasn't what you had hoped for, but I'd like to share a response to give additional context to those reading your review. First and foremost, your baby is lovely, and was very happy in my care, getting the attention and stimulation a baby needs. I'm surprised by your comment about my curriculum and how I communicate daily activities to parents, since each child has their own daily notebook in which we log everything. There was clear communication with you on a daily basis (via the notebook as well as live conversations at pick-up). I've sent you photos & videos of your child doing various activities, and children in my care are often advanced for their age in terms of academics (reading and counting between 1 and 2 years old, for instance). Of course, activities for older children differ, but we have posted schedules for both age groups in our daycare. During the first week, I followed our own infant schedule, as we typically do. However, after speaking with you in the second week, I followed the exact schedule you requested. Regarding my assistant, you have met her during our interview, and her presence depends on the number of children in care on a daily basis (we follow licensing regulations in terms of adult-to-child ratio). Last but not least, we normally allow access to the child care areas (even going as far as allowing parents to stay several hours in the first few days so their child can feel comfortable), but as you can understand, due to COVID restrictions, parents are not allowed to enter the area while children are present. It's our responsibility to make sure children are safe and well taken care of, I cannot put all of my children at risk and break state-recommended COVID guidelines to satisfy a parent's request. I'm really not sure where this negative review comes from, since we have dozens and dozens of happy families, and everything discussed during our interview with you was done. In any case, I wish you and your baby the best, and hope you find a facility that suits your needs.
