Art Bee Home Daycare, Durham

Our program is designed to promote the healthy growth and development of the whole child (social, emotional, intellectual, physical and creative development). We believe that children learn best by doing. Therefore, our classroom is planned in a way that encourages each child to become active. In the centers, children may work alone or in a group. The centers include dramatic play, block building, art, science, reading, music, manipulative, sand and water. Materials in the centers are changed or new home are added periodically to reflect a particular theme or interest of the children. Each week there is theme. For example, people I love or the farm Animals. The classroom follows a schedule every day. Note that during the summer months this schedule changes so the children can enjoy the playground during the early morning to avoid the heat and sun.
