La Habra Montessori Preschool is an important educational landmark in La Habra. We served the community of La Habra and surrounding cities for over 25 years. We were known as Idaho Kiddie Land and was a preschool and an elementary school. We became the first Montessori preschool in La Habra in 2014. We follow the Montessori curriculum and our tuition is low in order to make Montessori education affordable to all the families in our community. Our children get a well rounded academic education as per the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. They do not only grow in their academic skills but also their artistic and creative skills in order to bloom to be a whole human being and a citizen of the world. Our well trained and qualified staff provides a loving, safe, nurturing, and great educational experience to our children. Each one of them bring a wealth of knowledge to our organization. We are a diverse cultural and religious facility that assist our children to accept and respect all cultures and religions. Multicultural education is an integral part of the Montessori philosophy. Our curriculum respects the individuality of each child, creates a community of cooperation and nurtures a sense of wonder and curiosity about our differences. We honor and actively explore the varied backgrounds and cultures in the world. Students are encouraged to appreciate different perspectives, identify and reject stereotypes and prejudices, and work for equality and justice within the school and the world. Tuition includes breakfast, healthy hot lunch, afternoon snack, dance, music and movement, and in house programs. Piano lessons are offered at a very reasonable price. We accept all state funded programs. We provide transportation to and from all area schools and provide homework assistance and tutoring. Our school has an infant center, preschool, kindergarten, and an after school program. During summer, you do not have to look else where as we have a summer camp and do many fun summer activities as well as academics. We are a medium-sized center.
