Saira's Family Child Care, Laurel

Saira's Family Child Care is a home-based child care and preschool program in Laurel, MD. Our daycare is run by a teacher with 10 years of child care and early education experience. We are open from 6:30am until 6:30pm and care for children as young as 6 weeks through 12 years old, including children with special needs. In addition to her decade of child care experience, the teacher and caregiver is also CPR and first-aid certified and holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree. She’s MAT trained as well, so she can administer medication to all attending children. We use the Mother Goose curriculum and follow a play-based teaching philosophy. This approach helps our little students to develop their socio-emotional, language, cognitive skills, and gain self-confidence. We have a wide variety of fun and educational toys, books, and other supplies. Daily educational activities include learning words, letters, numbers, colors, seasons, art and craft, reading, puzzles, circle time, etc. We also take the children to the playground when the weather is nice, and trips to the Savage Branch library are also organized (the library is a short walk past the playground). We offer a preschool program, as well as full time and part time child care for children as young as 6 weeks, including drop in care. We also have before and after school care for children up to 12 years old. We provide morning and afternoon snacks and offer a peanut and tree-nut free environment.
