• For children 2 years 9 months - 5 years old learning together in a multi-age and bilingual environment. • Home-based preschool program from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm Monday through Friday. Extended day is available from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm • Children come every morning to school. • Maximum enrollment is 10 • No French required! French for Kids was founded in 1997. The vision for the school has been guided by the love for children, belief in the power and benefits of early childhood education, and passion for starting children on the journey of second language learning at a young age. The founders drew upon their years of combined experience in the French and Montessori educational system to create an innovative and well-managed small, independent school. Educational Philosophy and Approach Play is a major component of the program combined with activities such as: storytelling, reading stories, arts and crafts, music and movement, singing, puppetry, games, sewing, gardening, cooking, physical-knowledge activities, and outdoor play. Readiness skills in literacy and math are taught individually or in small groups using developmentally appropriate activities and materials. Our program places special emphasis on social development and language development in two languages. The curriculum is presented through monthly themes. Much of the curriculum content is centered on the world of nature and cycles of the year. A specialist in creative movement and storytelling enrich the curriculum with weekly classes.
