About Us: Since 1973, the Westgate Child Center has been committed to providing high quality education and child care in the DC metropolitan area. As a non-profit organization, the center is licensed by both Fairfax County and the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide full time and before and after school care for children ages 2.5 to 12 years old. Our Philosophy: Through carefully planned play-based activities and thematic units of study, our programs focus on each child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs in a stimulating yet warm and caring environment. Our center maintains an excellent child - teacher ratio of 5:1. We are proud of our low child-teacher ratio, which enables our trained professional teachers to focus on the individual needs and talents of each child. ​Westgate also boasts a long tenured staff, with average tenure of our teachers being over 10 years.
