Our mission at PUMP is to provide a caring Christian environment that prepares students for future learning. We encourage social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development. Our philosophy is that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring, and discovery. We base the classroom assignments on the child’s age as of September 1.
PUMP teachers write their own curriculum following child development milestones and TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) guidelines for our students. All teachers at PUMP have a degree and are experienced, certified teachers.
For our toddler students, our program provides loving care and meaningful experiences for children ages 24 months to 35 months. We strive to meet the individual needs of each child by offering age appropriate toys and learning centers to help develop self-confidence and self-esteem, independence and group cooperation, all within a context of Christian nurturing.
For our older students, our program is designed for three and four-year-olds to enjoy a variety of experiences in a flexible and loving Christian environment, providing them a strong foundation for future learning. These experiences will include creative arts, music, motor-skill activities and story time. We also focus on science, math, computer skills using tablets in the classrooms and reading readiness. All students participate in chapel, music, and Spanish.
