The youngest children of OLHR are engaged in many meaningful activities through reading and math readiness, science exploration, music, art, dramatic play, fine and gross motor development. We believe that children learn to interact with each other and the world through play based explorations. Through this type of play, they discover their environment, experience cause and effect relationships, and explore their world. It is our goal to provide a variety of exciting and stimulating activities each day, so that young children can develop socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually to the very best of their ability.
Our fundamental objective is to provide children with a solid education in a caring environment, which nurtures Christian values by having the Eucharist as the center of our lives. Our curriculum includes: Language Arts: Houghton Mifflin’s; Alphafriends; Handwriting without Tears (Pre-K); Houghton Mifflin’s Mathematics; Seeds (Religion); Science; Music and Movement: Computer (only Pre-K); Physical Education.
