About Us: Stepping Stones Child Care is located in the Springfield Presbyterian Church in Sykesville, Maryland. It has been a privately owned and operated center for over 20 years. Our mission is to provide your child with a sound intellectual, emotional, social, and physical foundation to enable them to take their first steps towards a successful school experience. At Stepping Stones we are proud to provide staff which not only share in this mission, but are dedicated towards providing the knowledge, academics, and enthusiasm necessary to fulfill our mission. When you visit our center, you will find large separate classrooms filled with creative young minds being nurtured and stimulated by our highly qualified and professional staff. Your child will enjoy spending time each day on our two well-equipped playgrounds and find participating in field trips to events such as Sesame Street Live, Disney on Ice, Green Meadows Farm and Pumpkin Patch, to be a stimulating and rewarding experience. About the Owner: Nancy Silbaugh, Owner and Operator of Stepping Stones, holds a B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood and is a member of the Early Childhood Educator's Association. Mrs. Silbaugh, a mother of three boys, is an on-site administrator and part of the daily operation of the center.
