Hello, parents! Welcome to Lakepark Kids Playhouse, a warm and nurturing in-home daycare located right off Lakepark Dr in the Woodlawn area of Alexandria, VA. Just a few minutes from Richmond Hwy (US-1) and not far from Mt Vernon Elementary School, our child care facility offers a convenient and loving environment for your little ones.

I'm a mother with 4 years of hands-on experience caring for children. My journey in child care began in college when I took care of my younger relatives, and later continued as I worked as a nursing assistant with people of all ages, including children. With certifications in CPR and First Aid, your child's safety is my top priority. My experience working with sick children in the medical field has taught me that there's nothing more important than watching your children grow. When I decided to stay home to care for my own child, I realized I wanted to help other working parents in our community by providing a safe and loving environment for their kids.

At Lakepark Kids Playhouse, we offer full-time and part-time care, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. We welcome infants, toddlers, and preschoolers from 6 weeks to 5 years old. I understand how important it is to find a provider you can trust. As a mother, I'm committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for your child. That's why I take a maximum of 4 children, so that my program can be intimate and each child receives individual attention!

I follow the play-based teaching philosophy, fostering children's creativity and focusing on self-improvement. Your child will explore the basics of academics like reading and writing, as well as engage in arts and crafts. I aim to foster a love of learning that will prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. Lunch and snacks are included in the tuition, so you can rest assured that your child is well-nourished throughout the day! Thank you for your interest!
