Welcome to Braddock Cozy Children's Den, a bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool in Alexandria, VA. Our family child care program is located off Braddock Rd, in the Parklawn neighborhood of Alexandria, near Parklawn Elementary School and Parklawn Park. I’m the owner and main caregiver of this high-quality care and early childhood education program. I’m a licensed provider with 25 years of experience and CPR & First-aid certifications. I’m also MAT trained, so I can administer medications to all kids in our care. Here at Braddock Cozy Children's Den, we treat every child like our own! I run my in-home daycare with my assistant who has 15 years of experience. We have all the necessary training and certifications, so you can be assured that your child is in good hands at all times. We’re also both moms, thus we can relate to your needs and concerns when it comes to finding the best care for your little one.

Braddock Cozy Children's Den is a bilingual Spanish program so in addition to English, we also teach kids the Spanish language. This is a wonderful opportunity for your little one to become bilingual at a young age. Our curriculum is tailored to each child’s age and developmental stage to prepare them for kindergarten. We have a School Readiness certificate to facilitate a smooth transition to kindergarten. We do arts and crafts projects and teach shapes, names, colors, etc. We also help children to learn proper behavior and good manners.

Your child’s happiness and comfort are important to us, so we’re dedicated to creating a warm, intimate, loving and nurturing environment. There is great lighting, bright foam mats and hanging curriculum to create a colorful environment. We also have a beautiful private backyard playground where we spend our outdoor playtime (weather permitting). Our child care space is packed with great activity sets, books, toys, paint, crayons, arts & crafts supplies, etc. Our goal is to emphasize early education through play, and we have fun learning stations throughout the daycare. For instance, we have a station for circle time, one for arts & crafts, and another one for dress up and "make believe" play. Your child will love it!

We’re open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We provide full-time infant care for newborn babies, as well as child care services for toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. I can also accommodate children with special needs (i.e. Autism). Kids attending our program are provided with snacks and lunch, which are already included in the tuition. We run a peanut and tree-nut free environment to prevent any possible allergies. We also offer before and after school care for school-age kids (our daycare is near Parklawn Elementary School). In light of current circumstances, COVID procedures include regular sanitization of the tables and larger toys with wipes and Lysol spray. We also soak smaller toys in a tub of sanitization solution at the end of each day and let toys air dry before being used again.
