Our goal is to support parents striving to balance the demands of work and family. For this reason we provide childcare services during the most needed hours, 6am until 6pm, giving parents plenty of time to get to and from work to pick of their child without worry. In addition to quality daycare, we also provide nutritious meals in a fully equipped kitchen.
At the Heidi House DayCare we believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged. In addition, we understand and support children as they move through the stages of cognitive, physical, and socioemotional development. By doing so we are able to provide children of all ages with the neccessary opportunities to explore the environment. We accomplish this through teacher and student directed activities.
Most importantly we believe that "play" is a vital ingredient in the learning process. Therefore, at the Heidi House we create interactive, and child directed centers that encourage children to practice, and manipulate the world around them. This creates an environment that enhances the child's abilities in the content areas (math, science, social studies, and language/literacy).
The Heidi House offers state licensed, high-quality childcare for all ages. Our goal is to assist parents in an effort to nurture their child's healthy development. Staff who are warm and caring, and well trained assist children in a safe environment. All of this is neccesary and enables each child the ability to grow in a healthy, safe, and creative environment.
We offer childcare programs for:
- Infants and toddlers - six weeks to two years old
- Preschoolers - two to five years old
- School age children - five to ten years old
Heidi House's curriculum focuses on the three domains of development (cognitive, physical, and socioemotional). At the core of curriculum is cooperative learning, and hands on/interactive activities.
We integrate modeling, and scaffolding practices into every content area we teach. Content areas that are our focus include: math, social studies, literacy, art, science and health. Our courses of study are modified for each age group and follow a sequential process. Because we assess ongoing, we are able to ensure that each child develops the prior knowledge needed to move on to the next level.
Unlike most programs, our curriculum program is developed to include modifications, and/or remediation where needed. This means that each child will be successful in reaching his/her potential.
