Welcome to Hickory Ridge Little Playhouse, our bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool in Columbia, MD. My child care facility is in the Hickory Ridge neighborhood, right off Hickory Ridge Rd near Howard County General Hospital and Howard Community College. Your daily commute to work will be convenient since I'm very close to Columbia Pike (US-29) and Patuxent Fwy (route 32).

I’m a professional caregiver with 5 years of early childhood education experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. I run my home daycare with my assistant who has a decade of child care experience, and we’re both moms! We understand your concerns when it comes to finding a safe and quality learning environment for your child. In addition to our child care credentials, we’re CPR & First-aid certified.

Hickory Ridge Little Playhouse is a bilingual Spanish child care program, and we use the Mother Goose Early Learning Curriculum. In the morning, we read books with the children and during circle time, we teach them singing, dancing, and the Spanish language. In the afternoon, we have a class time where we use the Mother Goose curriculum to teach our young students. Our curriculum is structured and mixed with daily lessons and focuses on preparing children for kindergarten. It also includes educational activities, such as numbers, shapes, manners, and play-based learning.

We are open all throughout the year from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Mondays to Fridays. We provide full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 6 weeks and 7 years old, including children with special needs. Children attending full-time are served with lunch and snacks (already included in the tuition). I invested in my space to make it more inviting for children. Our space is organized, colorful, and well-furnished. I have wall decor, a visible learning curriculum everywhere, and cute foam puzzle mats that look like wooden floors.

Our daycare prioritizes the safety and health of our students and staff, so we follow health protocols to prevent any diseases. We wash hands at the drop-off, before and after meals, and in between activities.
