Mission: Many working families find themselves choosing between a commercial center or at-home care for their child. MKD Kids Learning Center combines the best of both worlds. Certified teachers offer high-quality center services in a freshly renovated home-like environment. Mona Curran, long-time Columbia resident and MKD Kids Learning Center proprietor, wants your child to enjoy interactive and exciting experiences while learning with a research-based preschool curriculum. We at MKD Kids Learning Center have created an environment that fosters partnering with families to give children a great start on their personal, social and educational needs. The MKD Kids Learning Center is designed based on the concept of a family childcare approach with commercial preschool principles for a more complete experience. We've designed a Media Center that is the core of our "Friday Family Reading" program, in which families are encouraged to check out books to read with their children. Children discuss the books during circle time on Mondays. MKD Kids Learning Center is a year-round center. We are open from 7:00am until 6:00pm and care for children as young as 6 weeks through 12 years old, including children with special needs. We offer full time care, before and after school care for children up to 12 years old. We provide snacks. MKD Kids Learning Center is a language immersion program.
