Welcome to Our Ohana Center! We are a family child care home in Columbia, MD specializing in the care of Infants, Toddlers, and Twos! Our program offers flexible enrollment options like full time and last minute care, healthy meals, educational activities, and potty training. At Ohana, we are much more than a daycare, we are a family! We love and care for each child as our own- providing a stimulating and values-rich environment for children of all backgrounds to play, learn, and grow together. We are the village that comes alongside parents to provide care, support, and resources to lighten their load. Our Location: Our Ohana Center is a home daycare that cultivates curiosity, creativity, and learning, in a secure and safe space for your little one. For your convenience and safety, we have a driveway for parking. We also have a backyard, an art area, and a reading area to promote a comfortable atmosphere where students can engage in their activities. Located in the city of Columbia, our daycare is in a quiet and safe family-oriented neighborhood with a park and an elementary school. We are close to street parking and accessible freeways. Our Teachers: Alexis- affectionately known as 'Auntie Lexie' has a true passion for kids and gift for leadership and administration. She has over 13 years of experience working with young children- serving as a preschool teacher, reading tutor, and Child Care Center Director. Alexis holds an MSDE credential level 4 and a Bachelors Degree from American University. I'm passionate about childcare, and I have more than 13 years of experience teaching children. With my professional experience and certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Early Childhood Education, I focus on age-appropriate activities for children to encourage their excitement for learning.
