I am a licensed family child care provider in Cumberland, MD. I care for children as young as 6 weeks through 5 years old. As a certified elementary education teacher, I strive to provide a nurturing, stimulating family childcare environment for children. I saw the importance of school readiness as a teacher and I believe your child's first 5 years are a critical time for their future learning. For me, that does not mean pushing down skills that are not developmentally appropriate. I love observing children, setting up the environment to fit what they need and helping them pursue their interests. I plan experiences that children love so that learning the necessary literacy, math and science skills are fun, not work.
