My name is Tonya and I have been in the child care field for 8 1/2 years. I have worked in the Bowie and Washington, DC school systems as an Assistant Teacher. I provided babysitting services for 5 years in my home. I have my 90 hour course certification, CPR/First AID certified and SIDS training. As my own children grew older, entering middle school and high school, I decided to become a stay at home mom and help cultivate them while pursuing my dream of opening a home daycare. The greatest development and growth occurs during the first five years of a child's life and my goal is to provide loving care in a nurturing, structured environment that will cultivate your child's happiness, development and learning. At LMLC, I realize the need for exceptional care and I am committed to providing children ages 6 weeks up to 12 years with an early childhood experience that will stimulate exploration and growth in the areas of language, physical movement, cognitive and social development. I aspire to provide your child with the level of emotional security and physical comfort that you provide at home, with the benefit of socialization that can only be gained through interaction with LMLC respects your child's individual and unique needs therefore our focus is to assist the child in developing to their fullest potential. I want each child to experience the freedom and excitement of learning at their own pace through developmentally appropriate lessons. I want the parents to experience the joy and comfort of knowing your child is cared for and respected by our staff and their peers.
