Harrisonburg Rockingham Child Day Care Center, Harrisonburg

The mission of the Harrisonburg Rockingham Child Day Care Center is to provide full-day childcare and learning opportunities for children ages two to eight years in a secure and nurturing environment. The center pledges to serve the community by providing care to children regardless of the families’ financial resources, race, or religious affiliation. As a part of our commitment to quality, we will maintain current state licensing and follow national accreditation standards. The center’s professionally trained staff will continuously foster opportunities for the child’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth. We currently serve children ages 2 – 5 during the school year adding 6 – 8 year olds during the summer. We are affiliated with United Way and offer an income based sliding fee scale which allows our child care center to be affordable to all families. Each classroom consists of a head teacher and an assistant teacher. The head teacher in each classroom has a two or four year college diploma and plan wonderful, hands on (often themed based) learning activities for the children.
