About The Staff
The owner and main caregiver of this early childhood education program is a licensed child care provider. She’s a mother of 3 with CPR & First-aid certifications. She can also administer over-the-counter and prescription medication since she’s a MAT trained. She aims to help parents in the area by proving quality child care care in a safe and comfortable learning space.
About The Program
This family child care program is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm offering full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers up to 5 years old.
Children attending the daycare are served with peanut-free snacks (already included in the tuition). Before and after school care are both available for school-age kids, up to 12 years old (the facility is very close to Lamont Elementary School).
About The Curriculum
This child care and preschool program follows the Play-based learning philosophy, allowing children to learn through play. The owner has a structured curriculum that challenges children's socio-emotional development and encourages their fine and gross motor skills.
She has included STEM projects and worksheets in their daily schedule where children learn letters, shapes, colors, farm animals, body parts, etc. She offers extra-curricular activities like arts & crafts, music, story-time, exercise, etc.
She also guides the children to take adventures outside to learn about nature. Upon request, she can teach your little one the Amharic and Tigrinya languages in addition to English (though this is not a bilingual program).
Safety
As part of her preventive measures for infectious diseases, temperatures are taken at drop off and she sanitizes in between activity and at closing. She cleans tables and highchairs between lunch and snacks. She vacuums and sweeps the rugs every night and soaks toys in sanitizing solutions at the end of the day to ensure they're disinfected before being used the next day.
