AbilityFirst Long Beach Center, Long Beach

AbilityFirst Long Beach Center offers programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities, such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and epilepsy. The center serves Long Beach and surrounding communities including Lakewood, Torrance, Seal Beach, Carson, Bellflower, and Los Alamitos. Established in 1966, the center features a large activity room, a dedicated children’s program room, computer lab, an outdoor play area, and a heated swimming and warm water exercise pool. Our After School Enrichment program on weekdays serves more than 60 children and operates from 1:30 to 6 p.m. The Adult Day Program also takes place weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., though we also offer AbilityFirst’s popular Friday Night Socials at our center. Our adult program involves 45 adults. The Aquatics Program at the Long Beach Center is open to both children and adults and operates year-round. AbilityFirst Long Beach is a licensed child care center in Long Beach, CA with the license issued by the L. A. Day Care-East (33). We are a large center.
