Hunter Estates Bilingual Playhouse is a bilingual Spanish home-based daycare and preschool in Lorton, VA. We’re near the Hunter Estates neighborhood, right off Telegraph Rd (route 611) and Beulah St (route 613). Our child care facility is accessible for all commuters since we have easy access to Fairfax County Pkwy (route 286) and the I-95 Henry G. Shirley Memorial Hwy.

Hi, parents! I’m the owner and main caregiver of this high quality child care and early childhood education program. I’m a licensed child care provider with 16 years of experience and I hold a Medical Assistant Degree, and I'm currently working towards my Child Development Associates' degree. I run the daycare with my 2 assistants who have 43 years of combined experience. We’re moms with CPR & First-aid certifications, so you can be sure that your little one is always safe in our care!

Our family child care and preschool program is open year-round from Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm. We provide full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 6 weeks, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old, including children with special needs. For parents who are just looking for occasional child care needs, we can offer drop-in care.

Hunter Estates Bilingual Playhouse helps children to develop socio-emotional, cognitive, and physical skills through our Play-based learning approach. Our curriculum also focuses on making sure that children are prepared for school and are independent. We teach them how to get along with others and how to do their best work. We focus on developing them into future leaders and good humans. We run a bilingual Spanish daycare, so we teach our students the Spanish language in addition to English (this is a wonderful opportunity for your little one to become bilingual at a young age). We always strive to create a safe, loving, and fun environment where each child feels excited to go to school. We have lots of fun extra-curricular activities in store for kids such as Languages, Reading, Fun & Games, Arts, Colors, Shapes, Days of the Week, Emotions, Blocks, Music, Cooking, and Writing.

We invested in our facility to make it more stimulating and exciting for kids. Our space is large and open with a lot of space for children to play. There are play stations, tables for learning and crafts that look like a preschool program, and age-appropriate toys/materials that promote exploration and discovery (large activity sets as well as smaller hand toys, puzzles, and blocks for infants and toddlers.)

We maintain a clean and healthy environment for the safety of everybody at our facility. We regularly clean our space and sanitize surfaces and door handles. We clean diaper stations with Lysol wipes after every change, and we ensure that children wash their hands before snacks and lunch. When children are napping, we clean toys that they have used.
