Welcome to Laurel Hill Kids Corner, my licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Lorton, VA. My family child care program is located in the Village At Lorton Valley neighborhood, near Giles Run Meadow @ Laurel Hill Park. I’m right off Lorton Rd and a few minutes’ drive away from Ox Rd (route 123) and the I-95 Henry G. Shirley Memorial Hwy.

About Me:
I’m the owner and main caregiver of this intimate child care and early childhood education program. I’m a licensed provider with 7 years of professional experience. I love working with children because they always put a smile on my face and their energy is contagious.
As a mom myself, I know how difficult it is, especially for first-time parents, to leave their little ones to someone else’s care. If you choose me, I will make sure to treat your kids as if they were my own.
Program:
My in-home daycare and preschool is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer various options to accommodate busy families, such as full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 3 months old, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 6 years old. I can also provide drop-in care for families only looking for occasional child care needs.
Laurel Hill Kids Corner is a play-based early learning program, which allows children to learn through play. I believe in providing a stimulating environment for your child's growth and development. Overall, I teach shapes, colors, and letters and have learning activities through circle time every morning. In addition to English, I also speak Amharic and if you want, I can teach your child this foreign language (my daycare is not a bilingual program).
I can also accommodate school-age kids and offer before and after school care (my home is close to Lorton Station Elementary School and Laurel Hill Elementary School). All kids attending my program are served with peanut and tree-nut free snacks, which are included in the tuition.

Great, Fun, and Affordable daycare! This caregiver has many years of experience. My kid enjoys his (as he says) teachers house. I would highly recommend sending your children here if you are in the Lorton area.

It’s a very good daycare, my children were very happy.Her care for children is very good compared to other places.She took care of my children like her own children.Also my children loved her house because her house was very clean and tidy.We have known each other for 10 years.

My daughter has been attending this daycare for 2 months and she loves it! When I drop her off she is smiling and ready to play. My husband & I never worry while at work because we know she is safe and taken care of. The caregiver applies our specific routine for my daughter and that means a lot to me. My daughter went to this daycare for two years. She absolutely loved it. The place is very clean, well organized and highly conducive for learning. The provider is wonderful. She is very compassionate and treats all the children like her own. I highly recommend this daycare for anyone who is looking for a reliable provider.
