We are proud to offer a program that balances a developmentally-appropriate early-childhood curriculum that is fun and challenging with Judaic teachings and traditions. Jewish songs as well as arts and crafts enhance each child’s creative growth daily, while Shabbat and holidays are special times celebrated with joy. The Kehillah Program at University Synagogue is filled with joy, excitement and meaning. Our program recognizes the changes you see every day in your toddler. We value our precious time with your child and the special moments when he or she can interact with our rabbis and cantor.
Our little ones help lead the service as we sing, tell stories, dance and join together for a picnic Shabbat dinner after service. One Saturday morning a month, we gather for Tiny T’fillah, a Shabbat morning experience of fun, laughter, music, bagels and play. We serve as learning guides for your family through these experiences. On Monday mornings, Rabbi Joel Simonds engages the children in Havdalah - helping children connect Jewishly and make the transition from the weekend to the school week.
