Pacific Oaks Children's School provides outstanding programs for children ages six months through six years of age. We have been at the forefront of Early Childhood Education for over sixty years and are internationally known for our progressive philosophy and pioneering accomplishments in the areas of anti-bias education, emergent curriculum, and peaceful conflict resolution.
Pacific Oaks offers a wide variety of programs including part-time classes in the morning or in the afternoon as well as full-day programs for families working outside their home. All of our classrooms feature a low teacher-to-child ratio as we recognize that some of the most important experiences are those nurturing relationships that develop between children and adults. In addition to our many talented teachers, further enrichment is provided by our team of specialists including an artist and musician in residence; a children's librarian; and a consultant to assist children, families, and teachers with a variety of special needs.
Our expansive one and one-half acre campus provides an ideal setting for learning and exploration with tree-shaded pathways, original craftsman homes, state-of-the-art play yards, children's library, art studio, and neighborhood-like atmosphere. Over 200 families and 40 teachers have joined our inclusive community where each individual is provided with an opportunity to learn and contribute in an environment of acceptance. All of us play a vital role in maintaining this cooperative spirit and parents are expected to involve themselves in the life of the school.
