Westmore Children's Daycare is a family-owned and family-run home daycare and preschool in Rockville, MD. Our mission is to offer nurturing child care and high-quality early childhood education for our young students.
About Us
We are a mother and daughter team, and we run a small program. Therefore, you can be sure that your little one will receive plenty of individual attention! I am the owner and main caregiver, and I have 22 years of child care experience along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. I am a mother myself (I have 4 children of my own!), and I have my CPR, first aid, and MAT certifications so you can rest assured that I will take good care of your baby!
Curriculum
We follow the Play-based learning approach and use reading and play-time as an opportunity to learn. We believe that each opportunity is a learning opportunity. Our early education program focuses on teaching good manners and etiquette. We also focus on honestly, respect, sharing, and kindness. Our curriculum teaches socio-emotional skills such as generosity, compassion, self-disciple, and perseverance.
We engage children at a very early age and make sure to include infants in all learning activities (in addition to our toddlers and preschoolers). Our daycare offers a great learning space where kids can grow, and we make sure to infuse learning wherever and whenever we can. Our daily activities include morning circle time where kids learn their names, letters, shapes, colors, books, and much more. Our space is warm and welcoming. There are sufficient toys for infants and toddlers, as well as a separate infant nap room.
We strive to have a warm rapport with our little students and give individual attention to each child. We have a great program and we are passionate providers, and kids in our care usually enter school above average.
Program & Facility
We offer full-time child care for children between the ages of 3 months and 4 years old (we’re a play-based daycare program.) Our hours are between 8am and 6pm, Monday through Friday. Peanut free and tree-nut free lunch and snacks are included in the tuition. Westmore Children's Daycare is in the Westmore neighborhood of Rockville, near Montgomery College and Welsh Park. The daycare owner and her daughter have become family since enrolling our daughter. They are the embodiment of love and care and nurturing, and we are so lucky to have them in our lives. Our daughter has developed so wonderfully under their supervision and with the other children there. You could not ask for a better environment for your kids to grow and play!

This daycare is not your typical daycare. She invests her full heart and true self into the children as well as the parents. I've never expected such a welcoming and perfect match. My daughter started at 9 months (It was the second daycare) My child cried for three months at the first daycare. This provider is an experience teacher , She works at the transition with each child , I remember my daughter was fine at the second week .

This daycare is an absolutely wonderful place for babies and toddlers. We are so lucky to have found them. We enrolled our daughter there when she was 6 months old. They have an extensive experience and they are indeed amazing at what they do. Our daughter was always excited to go to the daycare and sadly didn’t want to come home since she had so much fun. How lucky we are to have those providers!
The kids are loved, play and learn so much.
We really felt we found an extension of our family, and we love going there everyday. It’s a relief leaving in the morning and knowing that our kid is with the best.
I would highly recommend this daycare to anybody.

These providers bring a magic that isn’t easily found at most daycares. There is real love for the kids and they are always so happy. At this age, they need love and attention, and we could not have asked for more for both of our kids. They also teaches manner and sharing and let’s them discover the world through play. This is the best in home daycare you can find.

These providers have been an extension of our family for 5 years now! They provide a safe and fun, and play based learning environment. They include all ages in fun and learning. I will be sad to leave when my daughter, "graduates" this summer.

There are no words that describe how wonderful this daycare is.
