Hi, parents! Welcome to Good Hope Estates Playhouse, our licensed daycare and preschool in Silver Spring, MD. Our child care facility is located in the Good Hope Estates neighborhood, close to Spencerville Local Park and easily accessible from Spencerville Rd (route 198) and New Hampshire Ave (route 650). I’m so glad you’re considering our program for your child! As a mother of four and a professional with over 8 years of experience in social work and healthcare, I understand how important it is to find the right child care facility where your little one will be safe, loved, and encouraged to grow.

Good Hope Estates Playhouse offers flexible options to fit your family's schedule. We’re open Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 6:00pm, providing full-time, part-time, and drop-in care. We welcome infants from as young as 6 weeks old as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. We know that every family’s situation is unique, and we’re also able to care for children with special needs such as autism or physical disabilities. Please reach out about your child’s care, we’d love to see if we are a good fit! On top of that, we provide lunch and snacks, all of which are peanut and tree-nut free to ensure a safe environment for children with allergies.

As a mom of four, I’ve learned firsthand the challenges and joys of raising little ones. But my experience goes beyond being a parent. I have a bachelor’s degree in social work and spent years working in social services, supporting vulnerable populations, including people with special needs. That background taught me a lot about compassion, patience, and the importance of individualized care. After years of working in healthcare facilities, I shifted my focus to something even closer to my heart: caring for young children. When my own kids were younger, I started babysitting other children part-time, and it sparked my passion for early childhood development. I’m also CPR and First Aid certified, so you can have peace of mind knowing your child is in safe hands. At Good Hope Estates Playhouse, I bring together my professional skills and personal experiences to create a daycare where every child feels like they’re part of a loving family. I truly enjoy working with families and being a positive presence in children’s lives!

At Good Hope Estates Playhouse, our goal is simple: to give your child a safe, clean, and loving environment where they can grow, explore, and learn. We believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences and active engagement, which is why our approach is all about child-directed learning. This means your little one will be encouraged to think for themselves, ask questions, and explore their world in a way that feels natural to them. Our daycare program is designed to nurture each child’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Whether your child is an infant learning to reach for toys, a toddler figuring out how to stack blocks, or a preschooler practicing early math and reading skills, we meet them where they are and help them take the next steps in their learning journey. Our daily activities provide opportunities for self-directed play as well as structured learning. We build positive relationships with peers, focus on developing self-esteem and confidence, as well as problem-solving and emotional expression. We aim to foster a lifelong love of learning in every child, and we do that by creating a positive and joyful atmosphere where they feel valued and supported!
