Hi there, parents! Welcome to Bel Pre Little Cottage, my licensed daycare and preschool in Silver Spring, MD. This is the perfect place for your little ones! I'm the proud owner and primary caregiver of this cozy child care and early childhood education program. Leaving your kids in someone else's care can be tough. If you choose me, rest assured that I'll shower them with the same love and attention I give my own. I want you to feel confident that your precious one is in capable hands while you’re away working. As a mom of two and a holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, I assure you that your child's well-being and safety is my top priority. I have completed 90 hours of studies in child development and curriculum, as well as 45 hours specifically focused on infant and toddler care. I also hold a Child Development Associate (CDA).

At Bel Pre Little Cottage, we follow play-based learning, allowing kids to thrive through playtime. Throughout the day, I teach lessons that focus on physical, cognitive, social and emotional learning. When the weather is nice, we head to the community playground for some outdoor fun! Operating year-round, my daycare opens its doors from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I cater to all ages, from newborns to preschoolers up to 5 years old. If you have school-age kids, I can offer before and after school care up to 12 years old (my home is conveniently close to Strathmore Elementary School and Bel Pre Elementary School). I’m part of the USDA Food Program, and I provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks to all kids attending my program (already included in the tuition). To keep allergies at bay, my daycare is completely peanut and tree-nut free. I offer full-time child care that's all inclusive, since I'm happy to care for children with special needs. Besides English, I'm also fluent in Amharic, and I'm more than happy to introduce your child to this foreign language upon request. While my daycare isn't entirely bilingual, it's a wonderful chance for your child to learn another language at an early age.
