Lake Pleasant Little Playhouse is an intimate and cozy home daycare in Springfield, VA. The child care facility is located in the Saratoga neighborhood, right off Lake Pleasant Drive and Rolling Road. Your daily commute to work will be convenient since the daycare is close to Fairfax County Pkwy (route 286) and the I-95 (Henry G. Shirley Memorial Hwy).

Hi parents, I’m the owner and main caregiver, and I have 11 years of child care experience. I hold a Child Development Associates' Degree and CPR & First-aid certifications. If needed, I can administer over-the-counter and prescription medication since I’m also M.A.T trained. I decided to work in the child care and early childhood education industry because I grew up around many kids myself and have children of my own, and I also enjoy interacting with them. At my daycare, I treat all kids as if they were my own and give them plenty of individual attention (I can only take a maximum of 4 children).

I follow the Play-based learning principles that allow children to learn through play and fun activities. In my child care home, they always enjoy our arts & crafts, story and circle time, music, and outdoor activities. For infants, my focus is to help them meet milestones with tummy time, crawling, speaking, and motor skills. I read books and sing songs for younger children that help them identify colors and different parts of the body. I believe that kids learn really fast at a young age, so I want to teach them as much as possible. I always keep my lesson plans up to date and creative. I teach the kids the alphabet, colors, and how to share and interact with one another. If the weather is nice, we play outside and go for a walk to learn more about nature. In addition to English, I speak Urdu and upon request, I can teach your child this foreign language (though my daycare is not a bilingual program). I have a large play kitchen, books, activity sets, and organized labeled bins with hand toys, blocks, and puzzles. My walls are decorated with cute stickers, posters, and educational charts.

Lake Pleasant Little Playhouse is open all throughout the year from 6:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 4 weeks and 5 years old. All kids attending full-time are provided with peanut and tree-nut free lunch and snacks, which are already both included in the tuition.

My COVID-19 safety precautions include wiping down surfaces thoroughly and regularly with sanitizing wipes, as well as taking temperatures every morning for parents and children. Parents have to call before picking up and are not allowed inside the child care space.
