About Us:
I’m the owner and main caregiver of this nurturing child care and high-quality early childhood education program. I have 20 years of professional experience and I run my daycare with my 2 assistants who have 10 years of combined experience. I hold an Associate of Applied Science in Child Development and I’m CPR & First-aid certified.
We’re a team of moms who want to help families in the area by providing high-quality care in a loving and safe learning environment. Each child in our daycare receives plenty of individualized attention and we treat them as if they were our own. Please note that we have 2 friendly cats living in the home.
Philosophy:
We believe that sharing, taking turns, and treating each other well are important behaviors that children must learn. At our daycare, we focus deeply on these things, and we discipline them through guidance, constant communication and by setting good examples.
We care for children with love and patience and guide them with appropriate models that will help them develop and feel safe and happy with us every day!
Curriculum:
Northampton Kiddie House is a Spanish immersion program so kids are taught the Spanish language, which is a wonderful opportunity for your little one to become bilingual at a young age. While almost all the communication with children is in Spanish (the best way for them to learn), I am bilingual and can communicate with parents in English, so non-Spanish speaking families are welcome!
Our daycare uses the Creative Curriculum to help children become independent and confident. We engage our little students in stimulating activities, such as fun games with songs, painting, arts, and we also teach them how to wash their hands properly. Our curriculum is also tailored to each child’s unique needs and developmental stage.
If weather permits, we take the kids outside because we know it’s important for their health. In the summer, the children do a lot of outdoor activities such as playing with water, sand, and water sprinkles.
