Hello, parents, welcome to Mayfield Woods Children's House! We are a warm and nurturing licensed child care and preschool program located in the Mayfield Woods neighborhood of Windsor Mill, MD. Located right off Carlson Ln and close to Winfield Elementary School, our in-home daycare offers easy access to Windsor Mill Rd and Liberty Rd, and is just a few minutes from the I-695. With 25 years of experience running my own child care program, I have dedicated my life to nurturing and educating young children. I am a mother of three grown-up children and now also a grandmother, so I understand the trust and confidence parents need to have in a daycare provider. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree and am fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi. Working with children is my passion. They bring so much joy and light into my life with their laughter, curiosity, and I even find their occasional tears adorable! I believe in creating a home away from home for your little ones, where they can feel secure, happy, and ready to learn and grow.

At Mayfield Woods Children's House, we offer full-time and part-time care from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We welcome infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, providing a safe, fun, and educational environment for children aged 6 weeks to 7 years. Our programs are designed to accommodate the varying needs of young children and their families.

Our curriculum is a blend of creative and play-based learning, designed to foster a love of learning and exploration. We incorporate literature and theme-based activities that engage children in a wide range of educational experiences. Our activities are designed to be both educational and enjoyable, ensuring that children are always engaged and learning in a positive environment. Daily activities include: - Literature and Phonemic Awareness: We introduce children to the wonderful world of books, helping them develop early reading skills through programs like Abeka, Hooked on Phonics, Fusion, Pearson, and Jolly Phonics. - Early Math Concepts: Through fun and interactive activities, children learn foundational math skills. - Gross and Fine Motor Skills: We focus on developing both large and small muscle groups, essential for tasks like writing and using scissors. - Arts and Music: Creativity is encouraged through various art projects and music-related activities. - Gardening and Outdoor Activities: We have a nice garden and love to spend time outdoors (weather permitting). Children plant and grow vegetables and then they can even eat what they grow! - Social Skills and Emotional Development: We emphasize the importance of social interaction, responsibility, independence, and empathy, preparing children for future academic and life success.
