A Child's Place at Hollin Hall, Alexandria

A Child’s Place at Hollin Hall provides a nurturing learning preschool environment for children ages 2 -5. We pride ourselves on not only teaching them the building blocks for their educational needs, but also important life and social skills which will help them throughout their growing years. We also provide a school-aged program for students in kindergarten through sixth grade where children can be in a safe and pleasant location to wind down after their day at elementary school. Our teachers and counselors interact with the students in a positive and inclusive manner to ensure that all of the children feel welcome and important. The daily smiles are truly a reward for our staff at the end of each day!

At Hollin Hall, children are placed in classes with other children close to their age. The children interact with each other by playing with toys, reading books, working on arts and crafts, and playing on our large, secluded playground. They learn social skills that will help them throughout their lives. The children work on different units in their classrooms. The children learn their letters, numbers, shapes, and colors by doing crafts, working on worksheets, reading stories, and singing songs. They also do projects for the holidays as well as study the environment, the 5 senses, dinosaurs, and more. To get exercise and release energy each day, weather permitting, the children go outside and enjoy our large, newly renovated playground.
