Our Mission
Our emphasis is on the whole child. We focus on the physical, social, and emotional developments, as well as thinking and communication skills. Our goal is to foster the growth and development of healthy, happy, confident children by creating a safe, loving, nurturing, and enriching environment. Amerikids programs are designed to offer a fun and enjoyable experience while providing developmentally appropriate challenges, skills and goals in a manner that will promote self-esteem, arouse curiosity, and instill understanding.
Educational Program for 2 Year Olds
Academics Through Play and Creative Activities:
Color concepts
Shapes
Sizes – big/small, short/tall, fat/thin
Numbers – counting from 1 to 10
Age Concepts – understands own age, can respond “I am 2 years old” when asked his/her age
Volume Concepts – empty/full
Positional Concepts – in/out, over/under, top/bottom, front/back
Alphabetic Concepts – knows ABC’s
Difference/Likeness – recognition in simple objects
Activities: Expression through songs, finger plays, nursery rhymes, and stories
One (1) step directions
Age-appropriate puzzles (simple)
Marching, running, hopping, etc. (gross motor)
Recognition: Family members, teachers, and classmates, etc.
Self, using own name
Fruits and vegetables
Names of clothing and basic body parts

Simple addition
Age concepts – youngest/oldest, understands his/her own age and friend’s ages
Volume concepts – empty/full, more/less
Positional concepts – in/out, over/under, top/bottom, front/back, first/last, etc.
Alphabetic concepts – knows ABC’s (can recognize upper/lower case letters, and can identify our of sequence, etc.)
Rhyming – can identify rhyming words
Writing – first and last name, numbers, and upper/lower case letters
Time concepts – day/night, before/after, today/yesterday, etc.
Initial consonant sounds – for those children who know alphabetic concepts
Community awareness – can recognize doctor, nurse, teacher, firefighter, etc.
