As a part of a larger school community, Congressional School's Early Childhood daycare program has access to our entire 40 acre campus but has tailored amenities for our littlest friends. Our program has been around since 1987 and runs for children 6 weeks - 3 years old in the same building as our preschool and jr. kindergarten. With two age-appropriate playgrounds specifically for early childhood, a creek to explore, horses to visit, loving teachers, a full-time licensed nurse, and a dedicated PE room, library, and cafeteria, our parents "can't imagine a better experience" (Private School Review).
We continually maintain a low teacher to student ratio, help guide parents and children through personal milestones, and partner with families to provide the nurturing experience they are looking for. Our program is designed to nurture the physical, emotional and cognitive needs of young children. Emphasis is given to language development, fine and gross motor skills, self-awareness, building relationships with others, exploring the environment, and preparation for preschool.
