Located in a charming building near the heart of Marble Falls, Tierra Vista Montessori School provides a schoolhouse environment rich in furnishings and materials carefully designed to foster emotional, physical, spiritual and cognitive learning. Hands-on activities, both indoor and out, are central to our curriculum, and self-directed learning is the platform upon which your child will begin to blossom. Classrooms provide a prepared environment where children are encouraged to explore stimulating materials and respond with their natural drive to work and learn. Children motivate themselves to fantastic levels and inspire others as they discover their world through sensorial and practical experiences which allow them to keep building upon skills already mastered. Multi-age groupings are a fundamental hallmark of Montessori education. By interacting with children of varying ages, a child learns to understand and respect his or her place in a community, which extends beyond students in the same “grade.” Younger members of the classroom learn from observing and interacting with older classmates; older members reinforce learning by providing examples to younger children. Multi-age classrooms also permit children to build special, longer-term relationships with teachers, which cultivates a sense of belonging to a learning community.
