Growing Seeds Montessori is a year-round Montessori School located in Reston, VA. Our director, Jeevika Athapaththu, has over 20 years of experience in childcare and is a trained and certified Montessori teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce. At our center, we offer care for children ranging from 6 weeks old to 12 years old, including infant, pre-primary, and primary classes. Additionally, we provide before and after-school care for children up to the age of 12.
We are proud to offer a peanut and tree-nut-free environment for the safety of our children. Our facility also provides meals for the children, ensuring that they receive the necessary nutrition throughout the day.
Our curriculum is based on Montessori's teaching method, which fosters an environment where children can become joyful, curious, and creative individuals with self-assurance and empathy. We strive to provide a secure and excellent environment for your children to learn and grow.

This provider and her family are wonderful! Our son very much enjoys spending time there and has made so many great friends.
The curriculum is educational and fun. The teachers are engaging and always put the safety and well being of the children first.
We are so thankful and blessed to know our son is under this provider's care. We highly recommend this provider!!!

It's been years since my original review, and I wanted to add an update. Yes, this daycare is still there, and it is still awesome! In the meantime, we've had one child graduate and move on to Kindergarten. What a graduation party it was! And the Kindergarten teachers (and all standardized tests that come with Kindergarten) agreed that this child was extremely well prepared for Kindergarten in every way. My two sons went to this daycare for five years total. The owner cared for them as if they were her own children. They learned a lot and were well-prepared for school once they left her care. I had peace of mind that they were safe, well-fed (home cooked meals) and engaged throughout the day.

Both of my children started attending this daycare at 3 months old, and my youngest still attends. We have seen our children learn so much through this program, i.e., math, writing, etc. but also values and socialization. The teachers and aides care so much for each child and help to nurture them. A friendly home-based environment for your child to learn and grow!

Both my children began attending when they were 7 weeks old. My son, now 2, still attends and we've been very happy with the high level of care and instruction. The owner, her teachers and her family provide a warm, loving home environment. The children are safe and well looked after and are also able to thrive in a Montessori environment.
