Here at Early Explorations we offer low teacher-to-child ratios in every classroom and highly qualified teachers. We are a year-round, members-only preschool that accepts children 2-5 years of age. It is our goal to work together with parents as part of a team to provide the best quality education possible and to ensure that each child experiences the joy of learning through creativity, play and exploration.
At Early Explorations Preschool we strive to provide the highest quality of childcare and education in a secure, nurturing, and stimulating environment. We believe that all children have their own specific styles of learning. Our early learning program offers a child-centered curriculum that is generated from the interests of the children and their surrounding environment. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum focuses on social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development in each individual child. These central areas of development create the framework for both teacher and child directed learning. Our teachers use techniques that draw on each child’s natural strengths which create a deep level of understanding that allows each child to develop at their own pace. Our goal is to foster a love of learning in a positive environment where the social and emotional needs of every child are met every day while physical and cognitive skills are developing.
Creative Curriculum is a developmentally appropriate approach that supports active learning and promotes children’s progress in all developmental areas. There are five components that support teaching children effectively: the learning environment, how children develop and learn, what children learn, caring and teaching and partnering with families. Our teachers incorporate this content in their lesson plans in the following areas: literacy, math, science, social studies, the arts and technology.
