McNeil Preschool Academy - Hopkins House, Alexandria

As part of the expansion of the then 68 year old HOPKINS HOUSE (early childhood education and social services organization), the James L. and Juliette McNeil Preschool Academy opened its doors in 2007. McNeil Academy has attracted a diverse student body from throughout Northern Virginia. The school has always had a variety of partnerships that have enhanced the educational experience and care of its families and children. HOPKINS HOUSE celebrates 75 years of serving VA. At the McNeil Preschool Academy, we value our families and the central role they play as the first teachers of their children; We value age-appropriate teaching methods founded on best practices and implemented by well-educated and trained teachers, and; We value activities in the classroom that allow children to experiment, imitate, inquire, and explore.
