Dear parents, thank you for visiting the profile of Woodlawn Cozy Children's Den, our home-based daycare and preschool in Alexandria, VA. We’re located in the Woodlawn Terrace neighborhood of Mt Vernon, near Woodlawn Park and Frye Rd. Our daycare has easy access to Richmond Hwy (US-1) making your daily commute to work convenient. I’m the owner and main teacher, and I’ve been running my daycare for about 2 decades. I am a mother of 5 children, so I have a ton of experience caring for young children. I am also CPR and first-aid certified. I run my daycare with my daughter who’s my child care assistant and she has 15 years of early education experience. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. We’re both parents ourselves, so we can certainly relate to your child care needs and concerns. At our daycare, we treat every child as if they were our own, and we always strive to meet the parents’ expectations.

Woodlawn Cozy Children's Den is a play-based early learning program, which allows children to learn through play. In addition to English, we also speak Urdu and if you want, we can teach your little one this foreign language (our daycare is not a bilingual program though). Our family child care and preschool program is open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We provide full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 2 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. Drop-in care is also available for parents with only occasional child care needs. We’re part of the USDA Food Program and we provide healthy lunch and snacks to all kids in our care (already included in the tuition). Our daycare is a peanut and tree-nut free environment to prevent possible allergies.
