Hello, parents! I’m the owner and lead teacher at Lincolnia Heights Playhouse in Alexandria, VA. I’m thrilled to welcome you to my licensed bilingual daycare and preschool. As a mom of two, I understand how important it is to find a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for your children. My program is a home-based child care facility, where I aim to create a warm, loving atmosphere where your little ones can thrive, learn, and grow!

As a mother, I first decided to open my own daycare in order to care for my own children. However, it quickly turned into a passion and I now have 14 years of experience in early childhood education! I hold a bachelor’s degree in law but I found my true calling in providing child care. The joy and genuine love I receive from the children I care for makes every day better. I connect with children and can easily make them feel comfortable and happy. Helping parents by offering a reliable and safe place for their children is also very rewarding for me. I am committed to ensuring that each child feels special and cared for, just like they would at home!

At Lincolnia Heights Playhouse, we understand the diverse needs of families, which is why we offer flexible programs: - Hours: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday - Ages: We welcome children from 12 months to 6 years old, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. - Programs: We provide full-time care, part-time care, and before & after school care. We are located near Parklawn Elementary School, making it easy for school-aged children to transition between school and our daycare. - Vouchers: We accept subsidy payments for low-income families - Special needs: We can accommodate children with special needs, ensuring inclusive and supportive child care for all (please inquire to discuss your family’s unique situation).

At Lincolnia Heights Playhouse, we believe in the importance of a structured yet flexible routine that caters to the developmental needs of children. Daily activities vary, but a typical day includes: - Morning Arrival: Welcoming the children and starting the day with a warm greeting. - Educational Activities: Teaching basic concepts such as the days of the week, followed by a nutritious breakfast (provided by us and included in the tuition). - Circle Time: Group activities that encourage social interaction, storytelling, and singing. - Outdoor Play: Enjoying our fenced backyard and playground where children can engage in physical activities and connect with nature (weather permitting). - Lunch: A healthy meal (snacks and lunch are included in the tuition) followed by quiet time or nap time in our separate nap room. We are a peanut-free and tree-nut free facility to accommodate children with allergies. - Arts & Crafts: Creative projects like painting and sharing to foster imagination and fine motor skills. - Free Play: Time for children to explore and play with their friends, nurturing their independence and social skills.

Our in-home daycare is designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children. Our facilities include a safe, fenced space for outdoor activities with a playground equipped with age-appropriate toys. Indoors, we have a multipurpose room for various activities and learning experiences. A separate nap room allows for proper rest, and we have video Camera to ensure safety and peace of mind for parents. Located in the Lincolnia Heights area of Alexandria, VA, our daycare is just off Lincolnia Rd, minutes from major roads like Columbia Pike, Little River Turnpike, and I-395.
