Spring Lane Kiddie Corner, Arlington

Welcome to Spring Lane Kiddie Corner, our in-home daycare and preschool, located near Spring Lane Park in Arlington, VA. Our licensed child care facility is near Columbia Pike and S Carlin Springs Rd, in the Arlington Mill neighborhood. We're just a few minutes away from the Crossroads Center shopping mall, and easily accessible from Arlington Blvd (route 50), Leesburg Pike (route 7), and the I-395. Our daycare operates from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. We offer full-time and part-time care for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. Note that regular tuition is for up to 10h of care per day, please inquire if you need longer child care hours. We provide a warm, intimate and nurturing environment for your little ones to grow, learn, and play.

I am a caregiver with a strong educational background and a passion for children. I have devoted my life to providing child care that helps children grow and develop in every way. I made our daycare into a home away from home for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I began my journey as an assistant teacher for special education, where I spent 5 years. I assisted with daily school tasks like reading to students, overseeing outdoor activities, and working in the cafeteria. Having my own three kids inspired me to start a daycare at home. This lets me keep working with children and support my family at the same time. I hold a bachelor's degree in Law and have 11 years of experience in child care and early childhood education. My experience as a mom and educator shapes our philosophy, creating a personal and enriching early learning environment.

A typical day at our daycare starts with circle time to set the tone for the day. Our curriculum goes beyond numbers and letters, as circle time incorporates stories that teach values and understanding. Then, we dive into arts and crafts, to inspire creativity and self-expression. Our students have made art that decorates our walls, displaying the skills they learn here. Our philosophy focuses on learning through play for young children. They are encouraged to explore interests, be creative, and participate in educational activities. When the weather permits, outdoor play time is a must. We have a backyard where we can play outside. Additionally, we can go to Spring Lane Park to use the playground. This allows us to have more fun and get some exercise.

My experiences as a mother and educator have given me a special understanding of taking care of children. Our home is prepared with love and care, reflecting the nurturing environment every child deserves. Our dedicated child care space occupies the entire first level of our single-family house.
