Hey all you parents out there on the preschool hunt! Buckle up, because I'm about to save you some serious headache. We enrolled our little one at Playful Platos, thinking the Montessori program would be a dream come true. Big. Time. Disappointment. Teacher Drama: First off, They seem WAY understaffed. They just keep promoting assistants to lead teachers, which makes you wonder if these folks actually have the experience to handle a whole classroom. My poor kiddo barely got used to Ms. Myra before she left, then Ms. Absi vanished too! Then they bumped Ms. Malika from assistant to lead teacher to fill the spot. Talk about confusing for a kiddo who needs things to stay the same! Yikes! Ms. Malik Needs a Chill Pill: This is where things get scary. We saw Ms. Malik, a lead teacher, yelling at both the kids AND the parents! Can you imagine how stressful that must be for a little one? On top of that, there are rumors flying around about her taking away a kid's water for a whole day and arguing with parents. Not cool, Ms. Malik! Unacceptable Treatment of a Child in Distress: We even heard a story about a poor little one who had an accident in class, and instead of receiving comfort and understanding, the teacher reportedly got angry. It breaks my heart to think how scared and stressed that must have made this child feel. Playful Platos should be a safe and nurturing environment, and this kind of reaction from a teacher is completely unacceptable. Playground Peril: The playground equipment looks like it's from the Jurassic era. All rusty and beat up, with sharp edges on the slides – ouch! We heard stories of kids getting hurt and clothes ripped to shreds. No thanks! Training MIA?: It seems like a lot of the teachers aren't even certified, and maybe haven't even gotten proper training. Makes you wonder what kind of education and care they're REALLY providing. Don't Make Our Mistake! Finding the right preschool is a HUGE decision, and Playful Platos turned out to be a total bust. We brought up all these concerns to the management, but they kept feeding us empty promises. Big regret on our part. There are way better options out there that actually prioritize our little ones' well-being, safety, and learning. Learn from our mistakes! Take your little one somewhere that will nurture them, not stress them out!
