Greetings from My Pretty Garden Family Child Care! We are a licensed family child care located in Belmont. We offer a full time Spanish immersion adventure for 6 children, ages 18 months through 5 years old. Our program is guided by a warm, loving, caring native Spanish speaker educator with 15 yrs of experience, 8 of them as a happy mother. Our program is designed to encourage children to learn Spanish through play, music, story-telling, science, artistic expression and plenty of fun. Early years are learning years and they are the best time to begin learning a second language. Early bilingual exposure has a positive impact on the linguistic, cognitive, and reading (literacy) development of young children. Studies have consistently shown that the native language acts as a foundation upon which a second language is built. We follow a fun and engaging daily routine so children feel more secure by knowing what to expect. We move at the child’s pace so this routine is flexible enough to allow extra time if needed according to children’s wants and needs. We love Music, singing and corporal expressions, we enjoy them as an every day activity. We understand PLAY is a crucial element for children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth. Through play, children exercise key skills such as problem-solving, independence, creativity and curiosity. Our program hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Small and home setting optimizes learning and lets us provide individual attention and close supervision. We are a family!
