Welcome to Rockland Village Kids Playhouse, our licensed in-home daycare and preschool in Chantilly, VA. Our child care facility is located in the Rockland Village, right off Walney Rd (route 657) and Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy (US-50). We’re also just 5 minutes’ drive away from Sully Rd (route 28). Perfect for your daily commute to work! I’m the owner and main caregiver, and I have 20 years of child care experience. I run my daycare with my assistant who has 5 years of professional experience. We’ve been in the business in our current location for over 11 years, so you can be sure that your child is safe under our care! In addition to our credentials, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and History, and we’re both CPR & First-aid certified. We love working with families and kids, so we’re very passionate about what we do: providing quality care and early education.

We realize that the early years of a child's life are the most important years. Without a doubt, the years from birth to kindergarten comprise the most extraordinary period of development in a person's lifetime. Young children learn quite a bit through independent exploration, however, they need guidance from the guiding eye of an adult. With this in mind, we strive to immerse your child in an atmosphere that is rich in exploration and learning with the careful guidance of trained individuals. Our bright, colorful, and spacious classroom is designed to encourage exploration and interaction among children. We strive for this exploration to better develop your child's cognitive and social skills. Our planned activities throughout the day are designed to improve your child's motor skills. All these skills will be emphasized in a loving and caring environment. We stand behind the philosophy that children pass through different phases of development. We also believe that the rate of progress varies from child to child. Here at Rockland Village Kids Playhouse, we understand the importance of choosing the perfect home away from home for your child and many thoughts come with this challenging decision. Parents' comfort in their child's second home is one of our most important concerns. We, therefore, strive to provide an atmosphere and learning style that gives working parents peace of mind and confidence that their child is in very capable hands.

Along with our philosophy, our educational activities vary and are tailored to each student’s needs and developmental stage. Infants: Our infant program supports a child's need to be nurtured and loved by caring teachers in a clean and secure environment. Our focus is on child safety, and maintaining a regular routine for feeding and sleeping. We encourage play, and activities will be customized to suit each infant. We will try our best to keep the infant on a set daily schedule to simplify a parent's life and to have the child make the most of his/her day. Pre-Primary Toddler: Our toddlers are busy little people with many new things to explore. Our aim is to channel their energy to help them play, learn, and mature. Throughout the day we work on a wide range of activities with the primary focus being the five senses: sight, sound, touch, smell, and hearing, in order to fulfill the inquisitive mind of this age group. learn numbers, shapes, colors, seasons, days of the week, etc. We incorporate social-emotional learning into daily activities to help children learn and express how they feel. We emphasize physical activity and go outside twice a day when the weather is nice. Students

Rockland Village Kids Playhouse is open throughout the year between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays. We offer full-time for infants as young as 6 weeks, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. Our daycare is part of the USDA Food Program, and we serve kids with healthy lunch and snacks (both included in the tuition). We can also accommodate school-age kids up to 12 years old and provide before and after-school care. We’re approximately 5 minutes drive away from Brookfield Elementary School and Lees Corner Elementary School. We would love to meet you and your little one in person.
