Debbie is absolutely fantastic and I would hands down send anyone to her.
I'll start first with her program. She is trained to teach preschool, so she follows the school year - she teaches during the school year and then gives the kids the summer off. Every day, she sends home the kids work they did for the day as well as a sheet listing the events they did (such as what books they read, songs they sung, what they worked on, what games they played, etc.) Recently she added a board where she posts the menu for the day. Prior to that, when I would ask my child what she ate for the day it well balanced and follows the daycare regulations. When the weather is nice, the kids are outside playing with the many toys in her front yard, or they are in the back-yard which has several play sets for the kids to play on. The past couple of years she has taken a class in which she receives a grant to purchase new items for the children to keep things fresh. She also takes them to the park down the street for a change of scenery.
Now to move to the personal side of her business. From what I see on a day-to-day basis, she not only cares about the children her care, but the families as well. She has opened up early for parents needing early hours, as well as staying open late as needed. She sends out her vacation notices months in advance and when she has to take an unexpected day off, she feels terrible that she couldn't give more time. My child comes home clean every day, and if something is brought to daycare, Debbie makes sure it comes home. As with any child, they will get bumps and bruised, and sometimes it's between children. Debbie has always notified me if my child has fallen or if another child incurred it. The biggest reward is my child is happy when she comes home from daycare and wants to go back. I love Debbie's daycare and couldn't ask for a better one.
