Abigail and her family cared for my 2 daughters for 3 years and we were absolutely thrilled with our experience. The home is a nurturing and supportive environment perfect for babies and young children. The class sizes are small, the family works together wonderfully and that kind of attention and teamwork creates a very positive environment and models such excellent social skills for children. I wanted my girls to be in a smaller home setting rather than a large center, but I also wanted them to have some socialization and structure so they would transition nicely to other groups of children or to school. Abigail and her homecare were the perfect mix. She is extremely helpful with busy working parents. She is willing to stay open later with advanced notice, and on some holidays and some snow days, which was a huge help for my husband and I who did not have much flexibility with our work schedule. Some of the big bonuses: Opportunity for bilingual exposure, fun activities like Pajama Friday (simple idea, but the girls LOVED it), lots of outdoor time since the main play area is adjacent to the fenced porch, and family-centered care. After knowing her for years, I can tell you Ms. Abigail is always cheerful, encouraging, supportive, and happy to see the kids. I never saw her upset or sleepy or having a "bad day". She is just completely consistent and loving. She is gentle but effective with her rules and uses time out/rewards for encouraging good behavior, which was very appropriate. She is extremely experienced with infants so you do not need to worry even with very young infants. You will be very happy with her!! Happy to provide more details or specifics if needed.
