Welcome to Fair Briar Kiddie Cove, my intimate home-based daycare and preschool in Fairfax, VA. I'm in the Fair Briar neighborhood, near the Fair Lakes Shopping Center, right off Fair Briar Ln and Fair Lakes Pkwy. My child care facility is very accessible to all commuters since I have easy access to major roads such as Fairfax County Pkwy (route 286), the I-66, and Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy (US-50).
About Us
I'm a licensed caregiver and the owner of this daycare and preschool program. I've been providing child care and early education services for 15 years, so you can be sure that your little one is safe with me. I also hold a Child Development Associate's Degree and CPR and First-aid certifications.
Like you, I'm also a mom and I can relate to your needs and concerns when it comes to finding the best care for your child. I decided to run a small in-home daycare in order to offer children the perfect balance between gaining social skills while also having plenty of individualized attention from me.
Curriculum
Fair Briar Kiddie Cove in Fairfax, VA offers a Play-based early learning program that aims to help children grow and learn. I have lots of fun, educational activities in store for my little students (Arts, Reading, Singing, Play & Gym, Drawing, and Painting). I work with children on puzzle tables that change every week and I also teach them colors, letters, and shapes. I have a garage full of toys and activity sets that we swap every week so that kids remain engaged and "re-discover new" toys regularly.
If the weather is nice, I bring the kids to the nearby community playground where we spend our outdoor playtime. I can also teach them the American Sign Language, as well as foreign languages such as Spanish, Hindi, and Urdu upon request. However, please note that my daycare is not a bilingual program.
Program
My daycare and preschool program is open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers up to 5 years old. I also serve meals to the children attending my program (lunch and snacks are both included in the tuition).
To prevent the spread of any type of disease, we regularly wash our hands with soap and water and we use hand sanitizer. If any of my students are showing any sort of symptom or acting in an unusual manner, I take temperatures immediately to make sure they aren’t ill and running a fever.

This caregiver has been an amazing with our child. Our child has been with her since 4months old and is now almost 9months old. Our child is always so excited to be at this daycare. You can tell how much all of the children absolutely adore her during pick up and drop off. She is very caring of all of the children. As a first time parent she has helped us with staying on a schedule, introducing food and development. I highly recommend her.

The caregiver has been absolutely amazing with our son and we’ve seen amazing strides in his development since being under her care. She really cares about each child and wants to see them thrive. As a newer parent I’ve appreciated the open line of communication and recommendations on what we can do at home to further his development. Our entire family has been thrilled with the service provided!

This provider is AMAZING with kids. Our son started at her daycare at 5 months old and is now 8 months old. This provider does a great job at taking care of him. She is extremely detail oriented and follows all of our wishes in caring for our son. She is incredibly knowledgeable about childcare as well and makes recommendations on how we can adapt in our ways to better accommodate our son’s growth and interests. She is also focused on teaching other kids good behaviors and good manners.

This provider has been excellent in caring for our son from 7months of age, he was flourished under her care.She has been strict and assertive with both my son and any changes she needs to see in us (first time parents )as we leant along with him on the process.
Transitions in food from purée to finger food, to being consistent with solids was done in a easy adaptable progressive manner. He is now an active toddler who enjoys playing in her backyard and has art/ craft activities through the week with his friends. He has also learnt the sign language, alphabets and all of the nursery rhymes and songs. She has a strict no television rule which we really appreciate! Since she is a single provider in the facility the only con is when the day care closes as we always have to scramble for watching our son but that said I would pick this provider in a heartbeat to watch my son again!

My child has been attending this daycare for about a month and he seems to be adjusting well. This is his first time ever needing care outside of his parents, so looking for the right home was very important. Of course, initially it was a little difficult for him to adjust being outside of his home but now he seems to want to go back to learn and play with his peers.

My 16 month old has been coming here for about 3 weeks and he loves it. I love the atmosphere here and the curriculum she teaches. She is also a very friendly person and I never have to worry about my son not wanting to stay. I highly recommend her!

Zayef started here since he was 5 months old. He is now 3 and a half year old. During Zayefs time at this daycare, we felt safe and comfortable. This provider follows age appropriate curriculum and we love the feedback at the end of the day. Zayef enjoys the environment and he is fond of this provider. Zayef will embrace the preschool curriculum and cultivate the learnings that he learned from this provider.

I am very happy with this Child care. My daughter has been with her for two and a half years. she looks forward to going to this provider every day. The level of care the children receive is superb. Now my second daughter is under her care. My daughters love the different actives and they are learning so much in school. I know my daughter will be ready for preschool when she leaves.
