South Cherry Playhouse is an intimate home-based daycare and preschool in Falls Church, VA. I’m located in the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood, near South Cherry Plaza. I'm right off Annandale Rd (route 649) and Arlington Blvd (US-50). My home is very accessible to daily commuters since I’m just 5 minutes’ away from Sleepy Hollow Rd (route 613), Leesburg Pike/E Broad St (route 7), and Hillwood Ave.
About Me:
As an experienced child care provider who worked in different licensed daycare facilities for over a decade, I can assure you that your precious little one is safe under my care. I’m CPR & First-aid certified and like you, I’m also a parent and I know how difficult it is, especially for first-time parents, to leave your child to someone you barely know.
My goal is to help families in my area by providing affordable, quality child care and early education. I want parents to have peace of mind while they are away working. I strive to create a safe environment where everyone feels loved, and I want to work with parents in meeting the needs of their children.
Curriculum:
My program consists of educational activities like learning shapes, letters, and numbers, and I also teach kids how to write. For infants, I read books to them and we practice tummy time. My daycare has bright and colorful walls with educational charts and posters making it more inviting for kids.
In addition to English, I speak Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi fluently and upon request, I can teach your child these foreign languages. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to become bilingual at a young age. However, please note that my daycare is not a bilingual program.
Program:
South Cherry Playhouse is a Play-based early learning program. I’m open throughout the year from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays. Please note that full-time tuition covers 10 hours of care a day and if you need extended hours, that can be provided for an additional fee. I can also offer weekend care on Saturday and Sunday (please email to ask about the rate for extended hours and weekend care).
I provide full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 3 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. I have experience with children with special needs (specifically ADHD and Autism). For older kids, I offer before and after school care (my home is close to Westlawn Elementary School, Sleepy Hollow Elementary School and Bailey’s Upper Elementary School).

They are very caring and attentive. They love the babies as if they’re their own. Really warm and friendly staff, they make sure all the kids are comfortable, safe, and having fun. They’re very responsive and give daily updates and summaries to how my child did that day. They make home-cooked meals for the kids everyday and have plenty of toys for the kids to play with. They have a nice big, fences backyard for the kids to enjoy outside time with swings, playhouses, and slides. My toddler has been in their care since she was 3 months old and loves it there.

They are so lovely, I feel completely safe leaving my 2.5 year old with them. They treat all the kids there like their own. They cook lunch every day, and if he doesn’t like what they make, they make him a sandwich so he doesn’t go hungry. Somehow, they’ve gotten him to eat tuna sandwiches, which he never does at home! They have a huge backyard with plenty of toys, and inside is always clean and organized. They’ve also been really flexible with our weird hours and needing to switch days (we go 3 days a week) which has been great. My son has learned songs, shapes, colors, numbers, and he’s gotten better at playing with other kids from going to this daycare. Highly, highly recommend joining this daycare if you can.

Its a wonderful home that my son loves going to. There are plenty of toys to play with, a large, fenced in backyard, and the family and staff take really great care of the kids. Highly recommend!

We just LOVE this Family child Daycare! Our son has been a this family child Daycare since he was 9 months old and is 23 month olds now. We looked at several daycares and this Family child daycare was by far the cleanest and most organized, and offered great drop-off and pick-up windows. Leaving him with someone during the day when he was so little was of course nerve-wracking at first, but we quickly fell in love with her . We don't have any immediate family in the area, They are so loving and attentive, we can't say enough good things about them and couldn't imagine him going anywhere else. And, our son LOVES going there.

This Family child Daycare is wonderful! They truly love the kids there and every morning my son will run over to give the caregivers big hugs when I drop him off- it is so heartwarming to see. She is also very responsive via text and I trust all the caregivers immensely, which is the most important thing. I have long days due to my work hours, and I know my son is in excellent hands. Finding childcare can be very stressful but I am very lucky to have this Family child Daycare!

I cannot say enough good things about our daycare experience here, but the best part are the teachers. They loved and cared for my son like he was their own. They were excellent at communicating with me quickly when I would message them throughout the day. At pick up, they were sure to let me know how his day was. My son was always happy to arrive in the morning and was rarely ready to leave when I would come get him! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

The owner and her daughter are an extension of our family. The are kind, loving and nurturing to our child. Our boy loves going to their daycare, so much so, that he helps us getting him ready in the morning since he is so eager to play with his friends at this daycare.

We felt extremely at ease and comfortable with leaving our baby at this daycare. Their love for working with children is so apparent. If you leave your child here, they are most definitely in great hands. I felt as if they deeply cared about my child. They’re very flexible and will accommodate your needs, especially with hours which most daycares don’t offer. This daycare is 100% recommended to anyone in search for childcare, we can not thank them enough!
